Dress Code

Hermitage Golf Club aims to operate a contemporary and forward-thinking dress policy, commensurate with a modern day golf club. It is in all our interests to maintain reasonable standards of casual but smart dress in keeping with golfing traditions. Golfers at Hermitage Golf Club are therefore made aware that the following are required standards that must be adhered to both on the golf course and in the clubhouse.

 

On the Course & Practice Facilities

Neat golf attire is required on the golf course.  Shorts of the tailored variety are permitted and may be worn with short socks. 
The following are not permitted: 
  • Un-tailored shorts, (no cargo or beach style shorts)
  • Track suits, leisure suits or leggings
  • Football shirts
  • Denim of any kind
  • Men’s shirts without a collar and / or sleeves (turtleneck/rollneck & mock turtleneck are acceptable)
  • Non-golf footwear such as training shoes or runners
  • Trouser legs tucked into socks

 

In the Clubhouse:

Neat casual wear is the minimum requirement at all times. Denim jeans may be worn in the clubhouse but must be neat and presentable. 
The following are not permitted: 
  • Un-tailored shorts, (no cargo or beach style shorts)
  • Track suits, leisure suits
  • Football shirts
  • Shoes that are not presentable or any form of footwear worn on the course
  • Sleeveless shirts or singlets
  • Hats
Please Note
  • Changing in the car park is not recommended.
  • Members are responsible for ensuring that their guests adhere to the Hermitage Golf Clubs dress code.
  • ALL golfers at Hermitage Golf Club are expected to maintain a neat, tidy and high standard of dress on the golf course and in the clubhouse
